Our savior in disguise

Over the years, tech startups have turn ideas and problems of everyday people like me and you into full fledge companies and have slowly been gaining more traction and public notice.

Today, based on my findings I think that tech startups might be the backbone of the economy.

I mean not yet though.

But maybe, someday.

According to the World Economic Forum, “it is a catalyst for economic recovery both globally and locally.”

They have proven that they are here to stay and it will only grow more and more in popularity because of three prior reasons.

The World have so many unsolved Problems

The great thing about tech startups is that they are problem solvers.

They find an unmet need that has a rising economic gain, dive into it and create a simple and highly effective solution.

Thereby generating a ton of income and investments in the process, which in turn increases the growth of the country’s economy.

Seems easy right.

Well it’s actually not.

You see the world doesn’t just have one problem that needs solving.

The world have multiple problems that needs solving.

So when tech startups tackle each of these problems by creating a company around it, think about how many tech startups companies we will have in the world today.

It will be on every street of every city you pass through.

And each one will be tailored to solve a specific and well researched problem.

Sadly, that can only be an imagination as many of these “tech startups” don’t try hard enough to make their extensive research on what problem to solve.

Rather, they regurgitate solutions to problems that are already solved by other tech startups.

I don’t know if anybody has told them this before but, trying to create a different way of solving a problem, doesn’t actually change the fact that the problem gets solved in the end.

It just means you saw the market was in its favor and you wanted to eat a part of that sweet yummy cake that is… “MONEY”.

Many of these startups really need to understand that they are more problems out there that are in desperate need for a solution and are filled with a gold mine of opportunities.

Finding them might be a problem, but it is definitely worth it.

It is a Job creator

At this point I know for sure, that we all have a friend that works in a tech startup.

Maybe not yet, but soon.

You see, one of the fascinating thing about Tech startups is that it creates jobs.

Think about how many highly skilled and educated graduates that will be employed by creating a single startup.

Most especially when the growth of the company is in desperate need for an increase.

Nigeria is one of those country’s that is filled with youths that are BsC holders but for some reason many of them lack jobs.

Why? You ask…

No one wants to hire them!

Most companies won’t employ someone who is a “newbie” in their field, to come work for them. Plus they aren’t ready to train anyone, except maybe your CV and certificate is really outstanding.

So you see why many of them are jobless.

Some of the smart youths result to learn a skill or start a business, while the frustrated ones find an illegal means of making money.

Sadly, it’s not just Nigeria.

Many countries are lacking jobs because of the standards these companies set for aspiring employees.

And to be honest, I won’t blame them.

I mean, if you want your company to grow, you have to hire the best.

When companies like Adobe, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Paypal were starting out, they never knew that they’ll be responsible for creating thousands of jobs in the world right now.

Some startups might need more employees than others. It’s all dependent on how many problem they’re willing to solve, how big the problem is.

Every Problem has a Market for it

Yes, that’s actually true.

Think about it this way.

I’m a freelance writer, and I am looking for a way to receive my payments in less than two days.

(Oddly enough, this is a real issue that so many writers face but are too shy to tell you about.)

So in my desperation, I search on Google:

“Best software to help me receive payments in less than 48 hours”

If I find a company that is offering that as a service, I’m ready to spend as much as I possibly can, as long as their service is highly effective.

And not just me.

Remember, I’m not the only one with this type of problem.

So many other writers out there will probably be searching for the same solution or something tangents.

You just have to be present, to solve it for them and you would be cashing in big.

Key Takeaway

To be honest there’s actually no key takeaway from this story. I just think that tech startups are here to stay and the world needs more of them. If you think otherwise, I guess you can solve all your problems. Ha ha :)
